Asda makes Charlie's chocolate dreams come true

In a real life case of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a youngster from the East Midlands called Charlie was treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of a chocolate factory after he wrote to supermarket bosses declaring that he is the world’s biggest fan of their chocolate Easter eggs.

Five year old Charlie Wakelin penned the cute letter to Asda’s head office and colleagues decided to arrange a tour of the Birmingham factory that makes Asda’s own brand Easter eggs.

Accompanied by his granddad, Alan, Charlie toured the factory of Walkers Chocolates in Birmingham to see how a chocolate Easter Egg is made – and he even got to see the Easter Bunny’s office.
